Perfume Pagoda is a famous religious site located 60km southwest of Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a complex of Buddhist temples built into the limestone cliffs of Huong Tich Mountain. The pilgrimage site is also known as Chua Huong or “Perfume Temple” and attracts thousands of visitors every year during the Perfume Pagoda Festival from January to March. The journey to reach the temple is an adventure in itself, including a riverboat ride and a steep climb to the main complex. The temple complex features a multitude of pagodas, temples, and shrines, including the Huong Tich Cave, where it is believed that the Buddhist goddess Quan Am (Goddess of Mercy) first appeared. The site offers breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains and is a must-visit destination for those interested in spiritual and cultural experiences.
