Hoan Kiem Lake, located in the heart of Hanoi, is a must-visit destination for tourists. Also known as the "Lake of the Restored Sword," it is steeped in history and legend. According to the legend, a turtle, a symbol of longevity and wisdom, emerged from the lake and gave a sword to King Le Loi to help him defeat the Chinese Ming Dynasty. Today, visitors can see the Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake, which honors this legend. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll or jog. There are also many cafes and restaurants around the lake where visitors can relax and enjoy the view. At night, the lake is beautifully illuminated, making for a stunning sight.
