From Hanoi the daily bus to Vientiane , passing the Cau Treo border.

Takes about 20 hours and departs everyday at 7 PM..

There is a border crossing into Laos in Hatinh (Cautreo Border). You can catch the bus from HN to Ha tinh easily (340km) and then go to Cau treo border by bus (120km). From border to vientiane distance about 200 km.

From Hue or Danang, you can take the bus to Xavanakhet crossing LaoBao border gate. You should have visa in advance; you can not get visa at the border. Visa on arrival is only available at the airport. Good trip to you.
