Binh Tay Market which is also known as Cho Lon, was built in the 1920s. The market is built on an area of over 17,000 m2 in the old Binh Tay village in the ancient architecture style of Asia.

Unlike Chinatown in Bangkok or Manila, or even in other places around the world like Honolulu or London, Chinatown in Saigon isn’t all that praised, or recognized as a real main area of Saigon to visit.

Binh Tay Market is the most special market of Saigon when the yard is widely planted green trees in the heart of the market. This is also the area where people worship building market - Quach Dam.

The market with many layers of roofs, roofing made of tiles creating unique architecture of the Vietnamese market. It also creates cool space for the most crowded market in the past and today. At the main gate of the market are decorated clock on the four sides of French architecture.

There are over 2,300 stalls in Binh Tay Market with more than 30 groups of products. Expect a friendly welcome when you sit down for breakfast or coffee with the market's street-food vendors.

A visit to Cholon is a must and Binh Tay will be a highlight. It’s easy to wander the market yourself, especially now that motorbike taxis are easier than ever with GrabBike and UberMOTO. Or hop on any local bus headed to “ben xe Cho Lon” station.
