Dau Go Cave (Wooden Head Cave) is one of the most beautiful caves in Vietnam, located on Dau Go island in Ha Long Bay, about 6 km from the Bai Chay Tourist Boat Wharf.

Dau Go Cave is about 5000 m2in in width, cave entrance is 17 m in width and at the height of 12m. The Dau Go located at an altitude of 27 meters above sea level is the same age as the Thien Cung cave - about 2 million years ago. Dau Go Dau seemsto be a concentration of ancient architectural complexes. It has an ancient and quiet beauty with many stone pillars, small stalactites, soaring as to reach the sky ... Caves also have a wide variety of plants and animals. This is a distinctive feature compared to many other caves in Ha Long Bay.

The cave is divided into 3 compartments. In the first section, the stalactite system has many images which are familiar to life: lions, pythons, turtles, and even the image of fighting chickens... The second section begins with a monumental painting - images of the rocky island on the water wave are also clearly depicted on this picture. The third section is the image of the giant stone columns which are not rough, rigid but lovely and soft.

Đầu Gỗ Cave is proudly listed in the world famous tourism book Merveille de Monde published in France in 1938, which presents the most beautiful and worth visiting tourist attractions in the world, including Đầu Gỗ Cave under the name “Grotte des marveilles” (Cave of Wonders).
