Vung Vieng fishing village

Vung Vieng fishing village of Bai Tu Long Bay is located in the north-east of Vietnam close to Cua Ong - Hon Gai - Cam Pha coal-mine and Van Don ancient commercial port. Going up is Mong Cai border gate, Tra Co beach. Vung Vieng Fishing Village is about 25km from the land. This is home to thousands of lively and prosperous year-round fishermen but they are still happy. In order to visit Vung Vieng fishing village, visitors must go by bamboo boat (a small boat used mainly in fishing villages) and pass through Hang Cao - A famous cross-shore cave of Bai Tu Long Bay (it is considered as is a natural village gate) of Vung Vieng Fishing Village. After visiting Luon Cave, you continue your journey to discover Vung Vieng Fishing Village. The image of the fishing village is very simple, looming a few rafters leaning against the mountain, the rafts with buoys floated round like straight lined balls, that is the rafts cultured sea pearls. The more you enter the village, the more it expands, no one knows where to go between the accumulate of the mountains and the sea and the sky. The fish sheds are located along the cliffs. The fish rafts are located directly under the floor of the yard.  The cobia, grouper, and bass are raised quite large to serve the restaurant, hotel or export system; there are also rafts for ornamental fish for hobby such as elephant ear fish and beautiful grouper... Occasionally, some birds such as black storks, fire storks, crows, stone flutes fly out and sing for a few hours and then disappeared into the mountain again. The center of the village is the largest and most beautiful raft house, it is a community house. Coming to Vung Vieng, tourists can visit Mat Quy Island, Bay Gieng area, go fishing in Vung Ha, visit primitive forest in Tra Ban Island, Van Don Island ... and a system of small beaches located at the foot of the mountain like in Ngoc Vung or Van Gio island. These beaches are still wild, very suitable for small tourist groups. There are also caves. Also from Vung Vieng, it takes from two to three hours by boat to Quan Lan island, where has a village temple which is famous for its architecture.
