This afternoon, meet our guide & Tuk-tuk driver, then visit one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks, The Royal Palace (visit from outside only as still under renovation), which is a complex of buildings that serves as the royal residence of the King of Cambodia. Next is Wat Phnom, “Mountain Pagoda,” a Buddhist temple that symbolizes the name of Phnom Penh, located on a hill. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four statues of Buddha deposited here by the waters of the Mekong River and discovered by Lady Penh. Wat Phnom is the most popular place for local people to come to play in healthy spots or pray for their good luck, as well as admire the sunset.

Continue to Phsar Thmey (Central Market), a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood, and countless other products.

In the morning, you’ll be picked up by our driver, then transferred to the bus station, where you will catch a shared bus departing for Siem Reap (314 km/6 hrs drive). Upon arrival, meet our driver, and you’ll be transferred to check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is free.

08:30 am, meet our guide & driver at the hotel’s lobby and head out to visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples, which has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the way most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them. It was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider. Then head to see the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom, the Great Angkor City, established in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. We also visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King & Baphoun temple before continuing to visit Angkor Wat, the most popular tourist attraction in Cambodia-it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat, also known as the “City of Temples” a temple complex in Cambodia and one of the largest religious monuments in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. Seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Back to the hotel and a restful night.

Depending on the departure flight, our driver will pick you up 3 – 3.50 hrs to transfer you to Siem Reap Angkor Int Airport (SAI) for your flight home or next destination. End of Services!
