The Truc Lam Buddhist Meditation Monastery is located 5km from Dalat city center, in Phung Hoang Mountain. This is not only the largest monastery in Lam Dong, but also the tourist attraction of many domestic and foreign tourists.
The pagoda was built in 1993 – 1994 by superior Buddhist monk Thich Thanh Tu and it was designed with the oriental architecture style. With the beautiful landscapes, the pagoda is not only a place for meditation but also an ideal place for visiting.
This is a unique architecture next to Tuyen Lam Lake. Its architecture in the trend of modernizing the architecture of ancient pagodas. The form is the architecture of the nation; in terms of functionality and structure is modern. This Zen school has harmoniously combined different Zen schools with Vietnamese cultural and tradition into Vietnamese Zen. Truc Lam Zen Monastery lies on a protected forest of 23,2 hectares, of which 2 hectares is the building area.
Going up Tuyen Lam Lake is a road with 140 stone steps, the two sides are towering pines leading to three gates to enter the main palace. The main area is 192m2, they worship simply inside, but bearing the significance of Buddhism.
Outside Truc Lam Monastery, there are many food and souvenirs stalls. You can have a snack there.
Currently, you can take the cable car from Robin Hill or ride a motorbike to the monastery.
